2. Literature Review

Neural machine translation for low-resource languages has expanded rapidly over the past decade [3]. Multilingual pre-trained models partly offset the impact of data scarcity [7].

However, no comparative evaluation has yet been carried out for the Turkish–Kazakh language pair.

Why Gödel

Producing content with AI got easy. But what about trustworthiness?

These are the questions you'll be asked when you submit your work. Gödel handles each one inside the workflow.

How much must AI use be disclosed?

Which sections used AI?

How much of the text passed through your hands?

Do the sources actually exist, and are they correct?

Is the content original?

Does it meet academic ethics requirements?

Who is responsible for the work?

How should AI use be documented?

How It Works

Every step is tracked and supported with a transparent, ethical outlook.

01

Find a Topic — Build a Hypothesis

Explore real literature on the gap map; discover under-studied or emerging research questions.

02

Draft With the Assistant

Write your own sentence; the system turns it into academic prose and teaches you, step by step, why.

03

Verify Every Citation

Every DOI is checked against source records; a missing or unverifiable source is shown to you plainly.

04

Check Originality and Writing Ethics

Similarity, unsupported claims and missing statements are flagged before you submit.

05

Apply the Template You Need

Export to Word, PDF or LaTeX with your university's thesis template or your chosen citation style.

06

Continue Under Advisor Oversight

Share your work with your advisor; comments, revision requests and approval all happen in one place.

07

Run the Final Check

Work score, section completeness, citation coverage and missing statements come together in one report.

08

Get Ready to Present

Rehearse likely committee questions in the defense drill; download the submission package with its disclosure.

Topic Discovery — Gap Map

Shows research gaps in the OpenAlex literature as interactive bubbles. Click, drill into a sub-topic, see real papers. With a World/Türkiye lens and YÖK thesis data.

“Little work has been done on this topic before.”

Studies on this topic in the literature are limited in number [4] [9].

WHY? → “little” is subjective; academic language states a measurable limitation.

Guided Writing

Helps the user turn their own text into academic language; by showing the rationale behind suggestions, it makes the writing process instructive.

Neural models yield a clear gain in fluency over statistical methods [12].

DOI verified · registration record found

⚑︎ unsupported claim flagged · suggest a real source in one click

Evidence-Backed Citation

Matches citations with verifiable bibliographic records. Flags unsupported claims and offers relevant source suggestions as decision support for the user.

Live Review

Underlines errors as you write and suggests instant fixes — tuned for academic language.

Work Score

Evaluates the work on criteria such as source use, structure, consistency and academic language; clearly highlights strengths and areas to improve.

?

Defense Rehearsal

Helps you prepare for likely evaluation questions, based on the method, findings, contribution and limitations in your text.

§

Draft From Your Own PDFs

Generates section drafts and citation suggestions based on uploaded sources; the final text is reviewed and approved by the user.

Originality & Versions

Originality checking, version comparison, Word/Docs-style comments and human expert approval.

288 Templates, 3 Formats

288 university thesis templates (204 in Türkiye · 84 abroad) plus journal/publisher formats ready; export as Word, PDF or LaTeX and download the submission package.

What Sets Us Apart

Transparent, ethical and accountable work. Preventing unethical use.

Source verification, ethical-use review and plagiarism prevention — all three inside the workflow.

Source verification, claim checking, support signal and retraction review are handled as separate steps. The system surfaces uncertainties; the final assessment and decision to use rest with the user.

Source reality

Live

Every DOI is checked against the registration systems (Crossref/DataCite/Handle); an unregistered source is flagged.

Unsupported claim

Live

A numeric or factual claim with no citation is flagged; the sentence is grounded in real literature.

Claim–evidence support

Live

Does the suggested source actually support that specific sentence? A sentence-level support signal.

Retraction check

Live

If a source you cite has been retracted, you're warned.

AI-assisted work review

Live

Section-by-section reasoned review: weak structure, unsupported claims and inconsistencies are flagged.

Our Academic Principles

Verifiable sources. Transparent workflow.

AI belongs beside the academic process, not in the academic's place.

  • Ethics. Academic and citation ethics and plagiarism checks are built into the workflow, not bolted on afterwards.

  • Transparency. AI use is not hidden: a use disclosure draft is produced in the language of your work, ready for submission.

  • Accountability. The research question, method, interpretation and final text are yours; academic responsibility is never transferred.

  • Human oversight. Suggestions come with their rationale; you decide which sentence stays, changes or goes.

  • Originality. Sentences that overlap heavily with your uploaded sources and carry no citation are flagged; unsupported sentences are shown separately. This is not a certified plagiarism report.

  • Source reliability. Citations are matched against registration records; a source that cannot be verified is shown to you, not hidden.

  • Data privacy. Your work is yours; no one — operators included — can read its content through the application, and Gödel does not use your text to train models.

This moves past the question 'was it written with AI?' towards one that can actually be answered: how, for what purpose, with which sources and under whose responsibility was it used?

Gödel treats making uncertainties and limitations visible as part of its product design. Academic accuracy requires not only production, but verification, review and user responsibility.

Trust & Compliance

Safeguarding your work with transparent management and access

Academic integrity is built into the product — not a clause bolted on afterward.

Your documents don't train models

Your text is never used to train AI models; it's processed only to answer your own request.

Your own account

An independent Gödel membership; your works and sources are yours, exportable whenever you want.

Version and save history

Automatic saving and version history are designed to keep the working process safely traceable.

Transparent generation

Version history, reason-explanations and a source trail — every suggestion comes with its rationale.

The AI-use disclosure makes it easy to add an ethics and transparency note to submission files. KVKK/GDPR compliance processes are part of the product roadmap; the core principle is user control and transparency.

Who It's For

Those who hold on to ethical values in the age of AI — and mean to keep doing so.

From the research idea to the thesis defence, from the literature to the citation, from the first draft to peer review — every stage of academic work, with a distinct way of working for each role.

Master's · PhD

Student

Systematic academic guidance, from research to defence

For students with no experience of academic writing, or who need support at any stage: a complete working environment from topic and problem definition to the literature review, from forming research questions to shaping the method, from developing the text to verifying sources and rehearsing the defence. The aim is not to write in the student's place, but to build their research and writing competence through ethical, controlled and transparent use of AI.

Academic · Researcher

Researcher

Evidence-based, verifiable academic output

For those producing papers, proceedings, theses, academic books and patents: evidence-based content drawn from the researcher's own PDFs and academic sources, the relationships between sources examined in a literature matrix, and the grounds of each argument made visible. Source verification, citation traceability, text–source alignment and originality review reduce the risk of faulty citations and unverified claims. Reviewer questions can be turned into a defence rehearsal.

Advisor · Committee

Thesis Advisor

Version-controlled, transparent assessment

Different versions of a student's work can be compared, textual changes followed, and feedback given through Word-style comments. Citation accuracy, source relevance, retraction checks and the AI-use disclosure are gathered in a single control panel; deeper analyses such as the claim–evidence judgement and defence questions open in linked tools.

Institute · University

Institution

Institutional academic AI governance

Managing an institution's academic writing standards, thesis and article templates, source-security principles and AI-use transparency policies within one shared framework. The official templates of 288 universities are ready today; institutional modules that let an institution manage its own standard are on our roadmap.

Gödel is designed around the principles of source accuracy, originality, user control and academic responsibility.

Didn't find what you need? Write to us →

How does Gödel support originality and academic ethics?+

Gödel helps review user-created text for source coverage, similarity and academic integrity. Final originality and academic responsibility rest with the user.

How does citation verification work?+

Citations are matched with verifiable bibliographic records; DOIs are checked against the registration systems (Crossref, DataCite, Handle). Cases that cannot be verified are shown to the user.

Which formats and universities does it support?+

8 citation styles including IEEE, APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard and GOST, plus the official thesis guidelines of 288 universities are supported: 204 in Türkiye, 84 abroad (9 countries). You receive delivery as Word, PDF and LaTeX.

In which languages can I write my work?+

You can write the whole work in fluent academic Turkish, English, Russian, Kazakh, German, French or Italian. For patents and utility models, the work can also be adapted in language and form for another jurisdiction.

Do my uploaded sources and data stay private?+

Your sources and data are processed as described in the privacy policy; Gödel does not use them to train models. For AI generation/review, the relevant part of your text may be sent to processor providers; the scope of this transfer is described in the notice under Settings › Privacy.

Can I download the output as Word and edit it in Word?+

Of course. The work is downloaded as a Word document formatted to the university template, and you can edit it as you like.

Can I prepare my article for submission to a journal?+

Yes. With Journal Submission you pick a publisher-family format (IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, MDPI…) or a DergiPark journal — or paste the journal's own author guidelines. The article is exported in that format, a submission-readiness check runs, and a submission package is prepared (formatted manuscript, anonymized copy, title page, draft cover letter, checklist). You upload it to the journal system yourself.

How does it help with topic selection?+

The topic-discovery module visualizes trends and research gaps in the literature, helping the user narrow their focus more systematically.

How does it support defense preparation?+

Defense rehearsal helps you prepare for likely committee or reviewer questions, based on the method, contribution, limitations and source use in your text.
