2. Literature Review

Neural machine translation for low-resource languages has expanded rapidly over the past decade [3]. Multilingual pre-trained models partly offset the impact of data scarcity [7].

However, no comparative evaluation has yet been carried out for the Turkish–Kazakh language pair.

How It Works

From blank page to defense, in six steps.

01

Find a Topic

Browse real literature on the gap map; discover research questions that are under-studied or emerging according to the sources scanned.

02

Write, Guided

Write your own sentence; the system turns it into academic language and teaches you why, move by move.

03

Evidence

Match claims that need evidence to DOI-backed sources; unsupported or weak sentences are flagged, and unverifiable citations stay visible.

04

Review

Check originality, the work score and consistency; see the weak and unsupported spots.

05

Submit

Export as Word, PDF or LaTeX in your university's thesis template.

06

Defend

Use Defense Rehearsal to prepare for likely committee and reviewer questions.

Features

An evidence-focused workspace that structures academic production.

Gödel brings research, writing, source management and output preparation together in a single academic workflow.

Topic Discovery — Gap Map

Shows research gaps in the OpenAlex literature as interactive bubbles. Click, drill into a sub-topic, see real papers. With a World/Türkiye lens and YÖK thesis data.

“Little work has been done on this topic before.”

Studies on this topic in the literature are limited in number [4] [9].

WHY? → “little” is subjective; academic language states a measurable limitation.

Guided Writing

Helps the user turn their own text into academic language; by showing the rationale behind suggestions, it makes the writing process instructive.

Neural models yield a clear gain in fluency over statistical methods [12].

DOI verified · matched an OpenAlex record

⚑︎ unsupported claim flagged · suggest a real source in one click

Evidence-Backed Citation

Matches citations with verifiable bibliographic records. Flags unsupported claims and offers relevant source suggestions as decision support for the user.

Live Review

Underlines errors as you write and suggests instant fixes — tuned for academic language.

Work Score

Evaluates the work on criteria such as source use, structure, consistency and academic language; clearly highlights strengths and areas to improve.

?

Defense Rehearsal

Helps you prepare for likely evaluation questions, based on the method, findings, contribution and limitations in your text.

§

Draft From Your Own PDFs

Generates section drafts and citation suggestions based on uploaded sources; the final text is reviewed and approved by the user.

Originality & Versions

Originality checking, version comparison, Word/Docs-style comments and human expert approval.

204 Templates, 3 Formats

204 Turkish universities' thesis templates plus journal/publisher formats ready; export as Word, PDF or LaTeX and download the submission package.

The Core Difference

Source accuracy matters. So does contextual fit.

Gödel evaluates not only whether a DOI exists, but also a source's relationship to the relevant claim and its level of support, through separate checks. Uncertain cases are shown clearly to the user.

Source verification, claim checking, support signal and retraction review are handled as separate steps. The system surfaces uncertainties; the final assessment and decision to use rest with the user.

Source reality

Live

Every DOI is verified against OpenAlex; a non-existent source is flagged instantly.

Unsupported claim

Live

A numeric or factual claim with no citation is flagged; the sentence is grounded in real literature.

Claim–evidence support

Live

Does the suggested source actually support that specific sentence? A sentence-level support signal.

Retraction check

Live

If a source you cite has been retracted or corrected, you're warned.

Modules

One platform, every academic output.

Thesis, paper and conference workflows are actively supported. Patent, supervisor and institutional modules are being developed progressively as part of the product roadmap.

IMRAD structure, section-by-section writing, real citations and bibliography, multilingual output.

Live

Conference

Abstract, sections and references in conference format; Word, PDF or LaTeX.

Frequently Asked Topics

A transparent approach to academic AI use.

Gödel is designed around the principles of source accuracy, originality, user control and academic responsibility.

How is citation accuracy ensured?

Citations are matched with bibliographic records such as OpenAlex and Crossref; sources with DOI information pass through a verification flow. Unsupported or unverifiable sources are shown clearly to the user.

How are originality and academic ethics supported?

Gödel helps the user structure their own text into academic language. Originality checks, source-coverage review and version history support keeping academic responsibility with the user.

How does it help with topic selection?

The topic-discovery module visualizes trends and research gaps in the literature, helping the user narrow their focus more systematically.

How does it support defense preparation?

Defense rehearsal helps you prepare for likely committee or reviewer questions, based on the method, contribution, limitations and source use in your text.

Our Academic Principle

Verifiable sources. Transparent workflow.

  • Citations are matched with verifiable bibliographic records. DOI and bibliographic details are checked against OpenAlex and Crossref records where possible.

  • Unsupported claims are highlighted for review. The user is offered options to add a source, strengthen the statement, or write more cautiously.

  • User control is preserved. Gödel offers suggestions during writing and structuring; the final decision, editing and academic responsibility remain with the user.

  • Work evaluation is evidence-based. The score is presented with reasoning, based on the text's structure, source use, consistency and academic-language quality.

Gödel treats making uncertainties and limitations visible as part of its product design. Academic accuracy requires not only production, but verification, review and user responsibility.

Trust & Compliance

Data control stays with the user. Academic responsibility is transparent.

Academic integrity is built into the product — not a clause bolted on afterward.

Your documents don't train models

Your text is never used to train AI models; it's processed only to answer your own request.

Your own account

An independent Gödel membership; your works and sources are yours, exportable whenever you want.

Version and save history

Automatic saving and version history are designed to keep the working process safely traceable.

Transparent generation

Version history, reason-explanations and a source trail — every suggestion comes with its rationale.

The AI-use disclosure makes it easy to add an ethics and transparency note to submission files. KVKK/GDPR compliance processes are part of the product roadmap; the core principle is user control and transparency.

How does Gödel support originality and academic ethics?+

Gödel helps review user-created text for source coverage, similarity and academic integrity. Final originality and academic responsibility rest with the user.

How does citation verification work?+

Citations are matched with verifiable bibliographic records; DOI and bibliographic details are checked against OpenAlex and Crossref where possible. Cases that cannot be verified are shown to the user.

Which formats and universities does it support?+

IEEE, APA and MLA citation styles and the Science, Social Sciences and Education institute guidelines of 204 Turkish universities are supported. You receive delivery as Word, PDF and LaTeX.

In which languages can I write my work?+

You can write the work end to end in fluent academic Turkish, English, Russian or Kazakh, and produce a version in another language in one click if you wish.

Do my uploaded sources and data stay private?+

Your sources and data are processed in a privacy-compliant way and are not used for unauthorized model training. For AI generation/review, the relevant part of your text may be sent to processor providers; you can manage this transfer in Settings › Privacy.

Can I download the output as Word and edit it in Word?+

Of course. The work is downloaded as a Word document formatted to the university template, and you can edit it as you like.

Can I prepare my article for submission to a journal?+

Yes. With Journal Submission you pick a publisher-family format (IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, MDPI…) or a DergiPark journal — or paste the journal's own author guidelines. The article is exported in that format, a submission-readiness check runs, and a submission package is prepared (formatted manuscript, anonymized copy, title page, draft cover letter, checklist). You upload it to the journal system yourself.

The first sentence is the hardest. We'll write it together.
